UPSC-CSAT issue or another political heave ???

What are they (protesters) talking about, I can't for my entire life understand. Scrapping off the English language? Idiotic! Are we gonna get administered by the bureaucrats who are not proficient in the English language? In this era of technology, industrialization & globalization, which are apparently the key socio-economic development factors for our country, can they really avoid the use of English language? Say for example, can they avoid using computer keyboards which are designed in the English language? And so on! How long we will keep allowing dirty politicians to deceive us is the matter to give a thought, not the CSAT scrap off. Protests are, actually, required to foil “us” from regressive attacks. Wake up India!!!

  1. Hi Vivek....nice to see your blog and your thoughts as well. i am agree with you that we can't ignore english language but first we have to understand where the problem is. They are(UPSC aspirants) those people who comes from middle/lower middle calls background and completed his education in govt. Schools/Colleges. As per govt. policy, they do not suppose to pass/focus on english language. So, at one hand they are forced to not to read english and at other hand they are forced to give exams in english. Govt. wants to watch fight on roads, than only it happens. It's not depends on our/your will.

  2. Dear Sir,
Thanks for sharing your views & appraising mine.

I'm completely agree with you and I can understand the problem of thousands of such UPSC aspirants who are forced to abstain from English learning.

Nevertheless, I believe that the reason of this protest is not appropriate. The actual demand should be English inclusion in all government schools/institutions. Considering a hypothetical example, people can't demand the abolition of science examination from IIT entrance test for the mere reason that they could't learn science in the under-developed government schools.

We have to understand that this protest was actually fuelled by the regional politicians for the sake of ensuring their vote-banks. It's our responsibility to discard their nasty intentions.
